CIAUtility
Service Release 1

01/12/2007

Situation:

1) CIAUtility is installed on a BOH Server that has Aloha Quick Service installed. This may cause an error that reports that the program cannot find certain grind files or that the grind Directory is not valid.
2) In some cases where the ALOHA.INI has line that are intended as comment lines by using "REM" or "REM " (note the space character)  would cause this error screen to appear:

Cause: Version 3.1.104 to 3.1.106 of the CIAUtility was written using Aloha Table Service as the model.  In Quick Service, some of the necessary files are not included.  The CIAUtility checks the dated grind directory to verify that these files exist.  If the file or files are missing the error message is displayed to  alert the operator that the data to be processed is incomplete.  Further processing will not be allowed until the dated grind files are reprocessed with a manual grind operation through the Aloha Maintenance Program.
Status: Resolved
Solution: Version 3.1.107 of the CIAUtility program corrects these errors and is compatible with Aloha Quick Service and Aloha Table Service.  This update patch can be downloaded from the COUTS Industries web at: ciautil(3.1.104-107)patch.exe (size 1485.22KB)
Comments: This patch is not to be used with versions of Aloha Quick Service or Table Service prior to Version 4.2xx. Aloha version 5.x has NOT been tested as of the writing of this Bulletin.
