General Notes #1
Situation: When
starting a COUTS Industries Application, an error message similar to this is
displayed:

Cause:
Within the shortcut on the desktop pathing using network
definition arguments are not configured properly.
Solution:
- On the Target command line, be sure the line is formatted as:
\\<server_name>\<drive>\directory>\<application_name>.exe
Where:
\\<server_name> is the
server where the COUTS Industries Application is installed;
\<drive> is the network
drive designation (usually F) NOTE: do not use a colon (:) when
defining the drive, ALPHA character only);
\<directory> is the network
directory containing the COUTS Industries application; and
<application_name>.exe is
the name of the COUTS Industries Application

In the Start in box, enter the information as shown to the right,
using the same description as above except do not enter the <application_name>.exe.

The 1st argument, if used, is entered in the Target box and is separated from the command line in step 1 above with a space.

SPECIAL NOTE: The Command for the Employee Maintenance portion of the
Aloha 2 QuickBooks program. the second icon on the desktop, must contain
EMP in the 1st argument position. |
