Update 11/15/99
Current Version: 2.15.429 dated: 11/15/1999
PDF FormatDevelopment of the interface from Aloha to QuickBooks has been a product that the hospitality industry has apparently been looking for. At COUTS Industries, we take pride in providing a product that will perform for the customer with little or no problems.
As you have seen, this interface accomplishes in a matter of minutes what has taken, in some cases, literally hours to accomplish in the past. As with any new product we release, many hours go into development and testing before we offer it for sale. We spent several hundred hours in development and programming to provide a product that works the first time your customer uses it.
During our development, we used actual data from several hospitality sites. We talked with owners, managers and representatives so that needs were adequately included in our first release. Our output data was scrutinized to be right the first time.
Now we have developed a Service Release that fits even more establishments. Our original release included code that presumed an establishment would have Promotions, Petty Cash and Gift Certificate sales. Well, that may not be true in all instances. Our updated version now takes that into account.
We
have posted the Service Release on our website at www.coutsindustries.com.
Please update your customers, and your dealer’s copy with this Service Release.
For employee’s identification
we use the
Employee ID number from Aloha and insert it to the Employee’s Salutations
in QuickBooks. Duplicated numbers in this field are not permitted in QuickBooks.
In the process of defining the various files for QuickBooks to accurately report the activities from the Aloha installation, Promotions and “Comps” are used. Make sure that the Aloha installation includes at least one of each of these categories in its structure. They do not have to be active items. This action will allow the interface program to complete the necessary data translations.
